Delete your account

You can request permanent deletion directly in the QUITSTRIDE iPhone app. Deleting the app from your phone alone does not delete your account.

Before you delete

If you want a copy of your data, open Settings and tap Export my data. Save the export securely. If you have an Apple subscription, cancel it separately in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple’s cancellation instructions explain the store process. Deleting your account does not stop store billing.

In the iPhone app

1. Sign in and open Settings, headed “Account & privacy”.
2. Under “Your data”, type DELETE in the confirmation field.
3. Tap Delete my account.
4. In “Permanently delete your account?”, tap Delete account.
5. If you use Sign in with Apple, complete the Apple authorization prompt when requested. Keep the app open and connected while the request completes.

What happens next

After successful deletion, the account service removes your records and private files, including smoking and craving logs, workouts and routes, photos, stored health metrics, Coach history and memory, preferences, and Buddy relationships. It deletes your sign-in account. The app clears local user data and signs you out.

Account deletion does not erase original records in Apple Health, copies you exported or shared, or store transaction records. Provider logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules; see the Privacy Policy. This pre-release notice does not promise a fixed backup erasure period.

If deletion does not finish

An error means completion is not confirmed. Follow the message in the app and retry with a working connection. If Apple authorization is canceled, start the deletion flow again. For help, contact our beta support channel with the subject “Account deletion”. Use your account email and do not send a password or sign-in code.

If you cannot access the app, contact support for an account deletion request. Identity verification may be needed to protect your account.
