QUITSTRIDE helps you reduce or quit smoking while building toward a first 5K. This notice describes the public website and the current pre-release app. App features and connected services may vary by build.

The public website

You can read this website without an account. It does not connect to your app account or collect smoking logs, health readings, photos or routes. It has no advertising pixels, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes normal request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site. Fonts and app previews are hosted with the website.

Account and activity information

In the app, account details, onboarding answers, smoking and craving entries, workouts, plans, preferences and milestones are used to provide your personal experience. Some records are held on your device, including changes waiting to sync. Account services use Supabase for authentication, database records and private files.

Location and routes

If you allow location access for a GPS workout, the app uses it to measure your activity and record your route. Precise routes are private by default. Location is optional for non-GPS activities. Manage location permissions in iPhone Settings.

Apple Health

Health access is optional and permission-based. Health data is private by default. Coach may use health trends only after you explicitly opt in. Granting Apple Health access does not, by itself, grant Coach access. You can manage access in Apple Health and the app’s Health permissions screen. Disconnecting permission stops future access; it does not erase the original records in Apple Health.

AI Coach

When you send a Coach message, the service processes the message and relevant account context, including smoking and activity summaries, through its configured AI provider. Messages are stored in your account. In Settings → Coach history and memory, you can control use of past conversations, manage saved memory and delete history. Health context has a separate opt-in control. The data available to Coach depends on your permissions and app version.

Coach is automated, can be inaccurate, and is not medical care. Do not include information you do not want processed. The production AI provider, processing location and provider retention terms must be confirmed for the public release; this draft does not promise zero retention or that messages are excluded from provider training.

Buddy and photos

Buddy features share support requests and responses with people you choose. Your circle is not a public smoking profile or leaderboard. Progress photos use private storage and are not public by default. Sharing or exporting information creates copies under the recipient’s or your control.

Analytics and payments

The app’s analytics implementation limits events to names and approved coarse properties, rather than health measurements, precise coordinates, notes, photos or Coach text. This marketing website does not load app analytics. Where purchases are enabled, stores and configured billing providers process payment and subscription information; QUITSTRIDE uses subscription status to manage access. This website does not take payments. The planned introductory US base price for the 12-week program is $29.99, subject to change before release. It is not currently available to purchase.

Access, export and deletion

Open Settings → Export my data to create an account export, including the device-only data supported by your app version. Keep the exported file safe. For deletion, follow the account deletion instructions. Successful deletion removes account records and private files through the account service and clears local app data. It does not delete copies you exported, records held in Apple Health or your store’s transaction records.

Retention and service providers

Account information is retained to provide the app until removed through the available controls or account deletion. Operational logs, backups and third-party records can have separate retention rules. Exact backup and log retention periods, processing regions, the legal operator’s details and the final provider list are awaiting confirmation before public app release.

The app uses account permissions and private storage to restrict access. No security system can guarantee absolute protection. We do not make an end-to-end encryption claim.

Questions and requests

For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or help deleting an account, contact our beta support channel. Depending on where you live, you may have additional data rights and a right to complain to a local data protection authority. The release policy will identify the legal operator and applicable rights in full.
